BIRTHDAY GIRL

So yesterday was my 23rd birthday, You will all be glad to know that I began my night sipping on Wine and Margaritas and ended it slurping on beer and Long Island Ice Teas. Needless to say my mental state was somewhat, ahhhh altered by this time. But as usual, I remained a lady throughout, donning my pearls and even brushing my hair before I went out(well I brushed my fringe and that's part of my hair right?)

I awoke in the early hours of the morning(8.30am) and promptly jumped out of bed and announced to the world..."Wooohoooooo it's my BIRTHDAY" although at this time I was already quiet depressed about the impending doom that is sure to follow any birthday over the age of 21. And so began my 20faux Birthday. I pretty much bummed around all morning until 12.30 when my lovely friend Teigan came to "make me a pavlova" now I was sure this was code for "bring you lots of alcohol and get you deleriosly drunk"! As it turned out there was actual pavlova AND wine. Yep, this girl is damn awesome.

So after finishing the bottle, my mum got home from work....this called for a vodka to celebrate that fact, so down that went followed by Margaritaville. Good times were had by all and by all I mean me and my drinks for I have no idea if anyone else was having fun!

Now here is the point where I cut to the very end of my night, no need to bore you with all the gory details. On arriving home I decided to have one more drink for the road( the road being the hallway that leads to my room) This perhaps was not the best idea I have ever had but like a trooper I proceeded bravely down my chosen path of alcoholism and drank half of it. This morning, I am sorry to say I regret that last beer. Not the beery goodness, no of course not! I regret that I left half the bottle, such a waste and as you all know beer just does not keep well. So now here I sit, with a nagging feeling in the pit of my stomach thinking of how I deprived that liquid gold access to my stomach where its family was. I only hope that next time I will be a little more thoughtfull and say ACCESS GRANTED MY BEERY FRIEND!!!!!
